FESTIVAL CASTLE Mesocco

Today concludes a week of festivities to celebrate the end of the restoration of Castle Mesocco, town at the foot of the San Bernardino Valley Mesolcina Italian in Graubünden, where the river Moesa.
We passed countless times at the foot of the fortress, during our many trips to Splügen Hinterrhein and where we went to cross-country skiing, but we never thought to visit.
Only by reporting some friends of this popular festival, today we visited the ruins of the castle and the Church of Santa Maria, dating from around 1050.
We found ourselves involved in a medieval atmosphere, with food stands and stalls local crafts and it was nice to realize how Swiss people do not want to compromise and keep alive their identity.
There were no ethnic crafts exhibitors or the usual chinoiserie in Italy that we find in traditional markets and festivals, as it would be appropriate and that any people connected to their roots should be required to enforce that.
E 'was then a beautiful day, vissutatra the flavors of the history of our Insubria!
